About John
My Story
I was born in Durban South Africa. I started trading equities in 2005 and initially focused on value investing. I did quite well in my first year but then I switched to an approach based on a technical analysis and I lost heavily. I switched to forex trading with a proven method and trading package in 2011. I once again found myself on the losing side. In 2015 I read rich dad poor dad and was intrigued by the author writing about trading with insurance. That was my first exposure to options and derivatives and from there I read books, did training courses and taught myself how to trade options. In 2017 I read the bitcoin whitepaper and was instantly fascinated by the technology of Bitcoin. I read all that I could on the subject. In 2019 I started a Blockchain special interest group and also started trading Bitcoin options. I have a deep fascination with both Bitcoin and options trading and this has prompted me to write and speak about these subjects.
Personal Life
John enjoys travelling and spending time with family. He has travelled to the USA, Brazil, Panama, Germany, Netherlands, France and Norway. He also enjoys playing guitar and singing.
